We've hit 100 Grovertars! 7/2/08
If you're just visiting Max Bumps and you are fairly new to The Sixty One, you may wonder what the Grover avatars are all about. Our friend and fellow tune bumper, supergrover, recently found out that he has cancer and will be starting chemo soon. Many listeners and artists at The Sixty One have included a Grover into their avatar, very creatively might I add, to show their support for supergrover. We are with you supergrover! Be strong.

I have to add to Batface's comment that not only LISTENERS have added custom Supergrover icons, but a lot of ARTISTS have as well. Both of the these things are part of the wonderful reason I love theSixtyOne community, and the tight and two-way relationship that can be formed between both listeners and artists. Not to mention that it gives us an outlet to creatively show some support for someone who - while we may never have met - has touched many of us in one way or another.
Go, go Supergrover, and keep up the love, t61 folks!

This is a just a great campaign, I only yesterday started understanding what was going on as I wasn't on the site for months. I will think up something as well. Forza Supergrover!!! As we we'd say in Italy :)

I gotta say I didn't realize what truly unique communities t61 and maxbumps have. Now we just gotta get some artists to play a Grover benefit gig. Woot!
